What Is Real Success?

In my experience society and the media as an erroneous view or a make believe view of what success is… You see most of us are lead to believe that success is money, power, fame – The house you live in the car you drive and your current title at work etc. Now don’t get me wrong there is nothing wrong with material wealth or wanting the best of things for yourself and your family. Just understand that, that is not success – These things are just by-products of success.

So what is success?

The best definition that I have ever heard about success is, ”Success is a progressive realisation of a worthy ideal.” Now what does that really mean? Let’s break it down for you…

A worthy ideal is something that you and I have fallen in love with at all levels, spiritually, mentally and physically. It’s something that you are truly passionate about – And as a result of pursuing your passion or dedicating yourself to your craft then the money, power, fame and material possessions will surly be yours.

Too many people are caught up in the hamster wheel of life (Rat Race) trying so hard to chase after the money, power and fame to no avail.

The honest question to ask is, what is my “WHY” for doing what I do? Am I doing it just to make a buck or is this really what lights me up, gives my life meaning and purpose?

You see, the truth of the matter is you could be a beggar on a park bench with a clear vision of what you want to give, be, do, have and you believe whole-heartedly that you can achieve it –Then you are successful! That is true/real success…
